Compact Fluorescent Lamp Emergency Battery Pack
FEATURES
Application
The UFO-CF series emergency battery pack works in tandem with
an AC ballast to convert one 4-pin compact fluorescent lamp for
emergency lighting operation, and is compatible with low-mercury
and amalgam content lamps. The UFO-CF emergency battery pack
will operate most one or two lamp electronic, magnetic, standard,
energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. UFO-CF2-CLD has
an extended operating temperature range for cold environment
applications.
Operation
When AC power fails, the UFO-CF emergency battery pack
immediately switches to emergency mode, operating one lamp at a
reduced lumen output for a minimum of 90 minutes. When AC
power is restored, it automatically returns to the charging mode,
delaying AC ballast operation for approximately 3 seconds to prevent
false tripping of the AC ballast end-of-lamp-life shut-down circuits.
Construction
Housing is constructed of 22-gauge sheet metal, finished in black
enamel, with 2’ of flexible conduit.
