Quick Start Guide

Basic system features continued…
Change the extension ringing
behavior
By default, all extensions will ring for a call on
each exchange line.
To stop an extension ringing use:
*9 7373 61 exchange-line 0 extension #
Replace
exchange-line
with the number of the
exchange line. Note: the first ISDN connection
uses lines 3 & 4, the second ISDN connection uses
lines 5 & 6.
To start an extension ringing after a
programmable delay use:
*9 7373 61 exchange-line, delay, extension
#
Where delay is a number from 2 – 9 in multiples of
5 seconds.
E.g. to ring after 20 seconds if a call is still
unanswered use
delay
= 4.
To return an extension to immediate ringing
(default) use:
*9 7373 61 exchange-line 1 extension #
Do you want different ringing during the day and
night time?
First set the period of the day to count as day
time:
*9 7373 371 start-time, end-time #
Between these times the system is in ‘day
mode’, and will ring as set above. For
night mode use these codes:
Stop an extension ringing at night use:
*9 7373 31 exchange-line 0 extension #
To start an extension ringing after a
programmable delay during the night use:
*9 7373 61 exchange-line, delay, extension#
To return an extension to immediate ringing
during the night (default) use:
*9 7373 61 exchange-line 1 extension #
Answering machine
If an answering machine picks up a call then
it is possible to take the call back. To allow
this feature use this code:
*9 7373 455 extension #
Music on hold
There are three options for music on hold:
*9 7373 150#
For standard tone (default)
*9 7373 151#
For external music source
*9 7373 152#
For internal melody
For an external music source connect its ‘Line out’
connector to a 3.5mm jack plug into the music on
hold socket on top of the case.
Fax machine
(Fax & voice card option)
This card allows an exchange line to be shared
between a fax and voice calls. Calls are
automatically answered with faxes sent to the fax
machine while voice calls will ring as normal.
First, set the fax extension:
*9 7373 455 extension #
Secondly, record a message for the caller such
as ‘Please send your fax now, otherwise wait
to be connected.’:
*9 7373 242#
Record your message at the tone, then hang up
gently.
Finally, which exchange lines will faxes arrive
in on, use this code:
*8 45 exchange-line #
Repeat the code for each exchange line you wish
to automatically answer.
ISDN Settings (Option)
If you have more than one number for an
ISDN line, the extra numbers can be used to
call extensions directly. Use this code:
*9 7373 0 extension 0 telephone-
number #
Repeat for each telephone number, using only one
number per extension.
*9 7373 455 extension #
