Installation Instructions
6.1 Introduction
The PC5020CF is a UL/ULC Listed panel for [1] Central &
Remote Station Fire Monitoring [2] Local & Central Sta-
tion Burglary Alarm Monitoring. When used for fire
monitoring, all fire functions must be configured to take
priority over Burglary and other auxiliary functions.
The PC5020CF has a number of system functions estab-
lished as default values. These functions must be main-
tained to ensure the Life-Safety integrity of the installation
meets all applicable codes and standards.
To ensure an appropriate installation, all applicable NFPA
and local codes and standards should be reviewed. The
local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) should also be
consulted prior to installation to determine specific local
requirements for a fire alarm installation.
Information in this manual is intended to describe the fire
functionality of the equipment. Further information on
the overall system is contained in the companion manuals
for this product and must be consulted for a full under-
standing of operation, installation and programming.
This manual lists a number of alarm initiating and alarm
notification devices for use with this equipment.
6.2 Hardware Description and Specifications
PC5020CF - Main Panel
• One PC4050CR cabinet 14.8” x 12.0” x 4.9” with space
for two 12V, 7Ah sealed lead-acid rechargeable batteries
One PC5020 main control module which includes:
• 8 zones programmable for Fire or Burglary
• Programmable outputs:
•12 VDC, 50 mA max. each (standard output)
(PGM 1, 3, 4) or
• 12 VDC, 300 mA max. each (smoke detector
capability)(PGM 2)
• One unswitched AUX power supply – 12 V
DC, 420

• One supervised bell circuit – 12 V

• Supervised battery charger – 12 V

• Supervised telephone communicator (connects to

Standard LCD keypad (red bezel optional) for use with
the PC5020 CF.
NOTE: At least one LCD5500Z keypad must be used
with the PC5020CF and should be installed close to
the panel.
T-Link Local Area Network Communicator
The T-Link Local Area Network Communicator pro-
vides an efficient method of communicating via a Local
Area Network (LAN). See the T-Link Installation Manual
for more details.
Compatible Smoke Detectors
Please see the 2-wire Smoke Detector Compatibility
Chart (below) for a list of 2-wire smoke detectors that
have been listed as compatible with the PC5020CF two-
wire smoke detection zone (PGM2).
