SURFACE PREPARATION: Masonry surface must be dry and free of dirt,
wax, dust, mildew, and loose or scaling material. For proper penetration
and adhesion to extremely smooth bare concrete floors, use DRYLOK
®
Etch (liquid or powder) or muriatic acid, according to manufacturer’s
directions. Rinse thoroughly (pressure wash for best results). Allow to
dry thoroughly. For previously painted masonry surfaces test DRYLOK
®
WetLook Penetrating Sealer on a small area to determine compatibility
prior to completing the entire job.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release
lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE
SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN
CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE.
Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up
carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out

APPLICATION: DRYLOK
®
WetLook Penetrating Sealer appears milky
in the can – dries clear. Stir thoroughly. Use when surface is thoroughly
dry. Do not apply in direct sunlight. Do not apply if rain, heavy dew, or
temperature below 50°F (10°C) are expected within 24 hours before or
after application.
Apply by brush, roller, sprayer. Roller: 1/4"-3/8" (6-8 mm) nap roller; brush:
nylon/polyester; pump sprayer. Spread rate is dependent on surface
porosity, 1-2 coats will achieve a desirable high gloss appearance. On
exposed aggregate and on materials where product may puddle or pool,
over application will extend drying times and surface may appear milky
until fully dry.
THINNING: When applied over flagstone, slate, terrazzo, dense smooth or
light colored concrete, thin with clean, moderately warm water 10%-20%
to minimize sheen variations as subsequent top coats are applied. Test on
a small area to see final effect.
MPORTANT: Sealed surfaces can become slippery when wet. Use
caution when walking on surface when moisture is present. Up to 2 oz. of
DRYLOK
®
Non-Skid Texture Additive may be added to DRYLOK
®
WetLook
Penetrating Sealer to improve traction.
MAINTENANCE: Horizontal surfaces subject to excessive wear may
require periodic touch-ups to high traffic areas.
COVERAGE: 200-400 sq. ft. (19-37 m
2
) per gallon depending on surface
porosity and desired gloss level.
CLEAN UP: Soap and water.
DRY TIME: Dries to touch in 1 hour. May recoat in 2 hours. Longer dry
time required in cool temperatures, in high humidity conditions, and over
aggregate surfaces. Floors may be subjected to light foot traffic after
24 hours. Allow 72-96 hours before subjecting surface to heavy foot,
repositioning furniture or automotive traffic. Wait at least 30 days before
cleaning with a mild, nonabrasive liquid detergent.
CAUTION: Do not take internally. Avoid prolonged contact with skin
or breathing of spray mist. Close container after each use. If spilled,
contain spilled material, and remove with inert absorbent. Dispose
of contaminated absorbent, container, and unused contents in
accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
FIRST AID: In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with
plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call poison control center,
hospital emergency room, or physician immediately. If swallowed, do
not induce vomiting. Call poison control center, hospital emergency
