©2018 DreamLine. All Rights Reserved Shower Base Installation - Preparation 1. Ensure that the floor and the studs are at right angles. Provide a 5”×5” opening in the subfloor for the drain. The 2” PVC waste pipe should extend above the surface of the sub-floor according to the drain installation instructions and the height of the Shower base. Place the tray into the designated position so that the Drain cutout drops around the Drain Pipe and butt the Shower Base up against the studs. See Fig. 4 for details. Lower the base over the drain pipe and set it into place against the studs. Fig.

Mix the bedding material (Mortar, cement-sand mix, etc.) Concrete or plaster is not recommended. Apply enough bedding material to support the entire bottom of the shower base. It will be necessary to push the shower base until the top of the tile flange aligns with the marks drawn on the studs and the front edge is contacting the rough floor along the entire length of the shower base. Ensure that the base is level in all directions.

Preparation for Installation of Back Panel 1. Place a mark on the walls at a distance of 1” (one inch) from the corner and draw a plumb vertical line from top to bottom. 1 1" See Fig. 1 for details. 3. Divide the measurement “W” by two and place a mark in the center of the back wall and from there draw a plumb vertical line from top to bottom. W/ 2 W/ 2 This distance is shown as “W/2”. See Fig. 3 for details. Fig. 3 4. Determine the position of both Back panels (09).
5. Measure the Back Panel (09). Width of the Back Panel has to be less than or equal to the distance between the center line and the corner line on the back wall in Step. 3 L ≤ W/2 L L If the width of the Back Panel is greater than the distance between the center line and the corner line on the back wall in Step. 3, you have to trim the Back Panel to fit your measurement. 7. Place the Back Panel (09) onto a flat piece of plywood or particle board. Use a sharp industrial knife and a T-square to score along the marked side ends of the Back panel and continue scoring until you have fully cut through the panel. Preparation for Installation of Side Panels ATTENTION: If you are installing a shower door with a wall profile, you can hide the edge of the Side panel (01) behind the wall profile. 9. Determine the position of both Side panels (01). NOTE: a) The narrow edge of the Side panel fits behind the corner cover and cannot be trimmed. b) The wide edge of the Side panel can be trimmed to the size of your measurements from Step. 8. 12. Determine which Side panel (01) will be installed on the side wall with the fixture. Mark the fixture location on the Side panel according to the measurements taken in Step. 11. Attach the Center cover (10) vertically at the center point along the line (from Step. 3) and mark the drilling holes through the predrilled holes in the Center cover. 1 18. Slide the right edge of the left Back panel (09) all the way behind the Center cover (10) and push the Back panel against the wall. Slide the left edge of the right Back panel (09) all the way behind the Center cover (10) and push the Back panel against the wall as well. You can adjust the position of the Back panels before the sealant sets. 19. Mount the Corner cover (02) to the corner of the shower using the Countersunk screws ST4.2×40 (07). Do not fully tighten the screws at this time; leave them loose for further installation. 21. Slide the narrow edge of the Side panel (01) behind the Corner cover (02). Align trimmed edge of the Side panel (from Step. 9) with the marked line on the wall (in Step. 7) and push the Side panel against the wall. NOTE: Make sure the drilled holes on the Side panel are also aligned with the fixtures on the wall. See Fig. 27 for details. 1 2 Fig. 27 22. 23. Once all panels are aligned, fasten tight the Corner cover (02) to secure the Side panels (01) and Back panels (09). ATTENTION; Prior to the next step, please be sure the part of the wall for installation of the Decorative edge molding (03) is clean, dry and free from soap, oil and any construction debris. 25. Gently remove the plastic tape from the adhesive side of the Decorative edge molding (03) and firmly press it to the edge of the Side panel (01) from top to bottom. Glass Shelves Installation Instruction 27. Determine the desired height for the Glass shelves (05) and mark the locations on the wall. Installation steps 1. Measure the distance between the two finished walls at the top (at model height: 58” or 72”), middle and bottom. The wall profiles will adjust for out-of-plumb conditions, so use the smallest measurement as the “finished opening” dimension to determine the finished cut length in Step #2. (Fig 1) NOTE: The Top and Bottom Guide Rails (#03) are shorter than the model size by design.
3. After the Top and Bottom Guide Rails (#03) have been cut to size, re-install the roller stopper on both of the Top and Bottom Guide Rails (#03) on the end that has been cut off (the door end). 1 Remove the existing stopper. Mark the drilling hole at a distance of 3-1/8” from the cut end of the Top and Bottom Guide Rail (#03). Drill a new hole using a Ø1/8” drill bit; then re-secure the stopper with the screw. (Fig 4) ! ATTENTION: Do Not drill the Guide Rail throughout, only through the first layer.
5. Slide the Wall Profiles (#02) all the way onto the Glass Profiles (#01) on both sides. Note that the holes in the wall profiles are off-center, and should line up with the back side of the frame, in-line with the groove for the panel glass (Fig 6.1). (Fig 6) 2 1 3 Inside of shower Fig 6 ! *NOTE: At this step you can reverse the handing of the installation by flipping the assembly top to bottom so that the panel glass installs on the opposite side.
! TIP: Before installing the frame assembly, bring the Door Glass (#04) into the shower area and lean it safely against the wall, using padding to protect the glass, walls and base. Be sure the handle holes on the Door Glass (#04) are on the correct side for installation. The wheel assemblies can be attached prior to setting the glass into the shower. 7. Use an assistant to hold the assembly in position and mark the holes for drilling on the wall through the holes in the Glass Profiles (#01) and the Wall Profiles (#02). Gently set the assembled unit aside; drill the holes using a Ø5/16” drill bit and insert the Wall Anchors (#14). (Fig 9) 2 1 3 Ø5/16" Fig 9 8. Apply silicone caulk to the rear surface of the Wall Profiles (#02) and around the holes on the wall. Also apply silicone caulk under the Bottom Guide Rail (#03).
9. Slide the Stationary Glass (#05) fully into the groove of the Glass Profile (#01) and then secure the Glass Holders (#16) to the Top and Bottom Guide Rails (#03) with the Flat Head Screws ST4.2x16 (#12). (Fig 11) ! NOTE: Use caution when installing the stationary glass into the frame to prevent damage to the edges of the glass.
11. Fasten the top and the bottom Wheel Assemblies (#17) to the Door Glass (#04). All wheels should be installed to face the outside of the shower. The door can be adjusted using the adjustable bolt on the top wheels (Fig. #13.4). The push-button on the bottom wheel should point up, and can be pressed to release the spring-loaded bottom wheel to assist in installation into the Bottom Guide Rail (#03). Be sure the handle holes are on the correct side for the installation.
13. Starting from the bottom, insert the Single Side Strip (#08) into the groove between the Stationary Glass (#05) and the glass profile using a wooden or plastic shim. The strip should be inserted from the inside of the shower. (Fig 15) ATTENTION: To prevent scratching or damaging the glass and aluminum: Do Not use a screwdriver or other metal object to install the Single Side Strip (#08) ! inside inside Fig 15 14. Install the Handle (#06) to the Door Glass (#04).
15. Perform the final adjustment of the assembled unit within the Wall Profiles (#02) making sure the bottom rail is tight to the threshold. Drill Ø1/8”holes in the center of the Wall Profile (#02) into the Glass Profile (#01). Drill one hole at the top and one hole at the bottom of each profile. Secure the Wall Profile (#02) to the Glass Profile (#01) using the Round Head Screws ST4.2x10 (#11) and raised white washers.
16. Apply a good quality mildew-resitant silicone around the interior perimeter along both wall profiles and the bottom rail on the threshold. (Fig 18) ! Allow 24 hours for the silicone to cure before using the shower. ©2017 DreamLine.
