This page allows users to set advanced settings such as operation mode, channel bandwidth,
guard interval, and aggregation MSDU for wireless data transmission.
Available settings are explained as follows:
Item Description
Channel Width
20 MHz- the AP will use 20MHz for data transmission and
receiving between the AP and the stations.
Auto 20/40 MHz–VigorAP will scan for nearby wireless AP
to determine which channel width (20MHz or 40MHz) shall be
used to meet the air situation. Usually, 40MHz would have
better performance under the clean wireless environment (e.g.,
less wireless traffic / contention). When the air condition is not
satisfied (e.g., dirty air), 20MHz will be used by VigorAP
automatically to ensure smooth network transmission.
Auto 20/40/80 MHz –VigorAP will scan for nearby wireless
AP to determine which channel width (20MHz or 40MHz or
80MHz) shall be used to meet the air situation. Usually, large
bandwidth would have better performance under the clean
wireless environment (e.g., less wireless traffic / contention).
When the air condition is not satisfied (e.g., dirty air), small
bandwidth will be used by VigorAP automatically to ensure
smooth network transmission.
Tx Power
The default setting is the maximum (100%). Lower down the
value may degrade range and throughput of wireless.
Fragment Length
(256 – 2346)
Set the Fragment threshold. Do not modify
default value if you
don’t know what it is, default value is
2346.
RTS Threshold
(1 – 2347)
Minimize the collision (unit is bytes) between hidden stations
to improve wireless performance.
Set the RTS threshold. Do not modify default
value if you don’t
