This page is to determine which algorithm will be selected for wireless transmission rate.
Available settings are explained as follows:
Item Description
Channel Width
20 MHz- the device will use 20MHz for data transmission and
receiving between the AP and the stations.
Auto 20/40 MHz– VigorAP will scan for nearby wireless AP to
determine which channel width (20MHz or 40MHz) shall be
used to meet the air situation. Usually, 40MHz would have
better performance under the clean wireless environment (e.g.,
less wireless traffic / contention). When the air condition is not
satisfied (e.g., dirty air), 20MHz will be used by VigorAP
automatically to ensure smooth network transmission.
40 MHz- the device will use 40MHz for data transmission and
receiving between the AP and the stations.
Packet-OVERDRIVE
This feature can enhance the performance in data transmission
about 40%* more (by checking Tx Burst). It is active only when
both sides of Access Point and Station (in wireless client) invoke
this function at the same time. That is, the wireless client must
support this feature and invoke the function, too.
Note: Vigor N61 wireless adapter supports this function.
Therefore, you can use and install it into your PC for matching
with Packet-OVERDRIVE (refer to the following picture of
Vigor N61 wireless utility window, choose Enable for
TxBURST on the tab of Option).
