A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is the extension of a private network that encompasses links
across shared or public networks like the Internet. In short, by VPN technology, you can send
data between two computers across a shared or public network in a manner that emulates the
properties of a point-to-point private link. The Vigor 2760 allows dial-out to any compatible
VPN server/network using L2TP, IPSec or PPTP.

Here you can manage LAN-to-LAN connections by maintaining a table of connection profiles.
You may set parameters including connection peer ID, connection type (VPN connection -
including PPTP, IPsec Tunnel, and L2TP by itself or over IPsec) and corresponding security
methods, etc.
The router supports up to 2 outgoing VPN tunnels simultaneously. The following figure shows
the summary table.
Available settings are explained as follows:

Indicate the name of the LAN-to-LAN profile. The
symbol ??? represents that the profile is empty.

V – means the profile has been enabled.
