effectively. Supplied with the filter are bio-balls that encourage the growth of friendly bacteria and Japanese
matting that removes the finest dirt particles. The filter has two ports to fit either UVCs or heaters, so you can
increase the UV capacity if you need to, swap them out for heaters in the winter or have one of each. A UV comes
with the kit but is not included when you buy the filter only. The complete sets include a Velda High Stream Pump
(see our website for details) and a Velda Silenta 300 air pump to help the growth of friendly bacteria in the filter.
Hozelock Trinamic
The Hozelock Trinamic koi filter is easy to maintain and gives
excellent water clarity and purity for optimum fish health.
As water enters the filter a Venturi adds oxygen, the water
then passes through bio media chamber where the Kaldnes
K3 produce the strongest, most efficient bacteria culture.
A series of fine foams then remove any solid matter from the
water before it returns back into your pond. Cleaning is via
easy-to-use sludge drains and an indicator lets you know when
the foams need cleaning.
As a guide the Trinamic will support 900cm of fish.
The complete kit includes an Aquaforce 8000 pump (p. 30) and
a Vorton 18 UVC (p. 54).
