18.0 Event and Performance Logging
The Horizon Compact Plus system supports two logs, the Events Log and the Performance Log. Each
can be used to track the behaviour of the system over time. In addition, a “Syslog” feature can be
invoked that sends information stored in the event and performance logs to a remote syslog server, for
further analysis.
18.1 Events Log
The Events Log is invoked or disabled by issuing the CLI command set logging [on/off]. This log
records alarm and reset events. Approximately 17,500 events can be captured by the Events log. Once
the log is full the oldest entries are overwritten. See Procedure 18-1 for more details.
