16-46 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Electric Starter System
•
Pull out the armature [A] out of the yoke [B].
NOTE
○
Do not remove the circlip [C] from the shaft.
•
Remove:
Starter Motor Terminal Locknut [A]
Washer [B]
Collar [C]
•
Pull out the brushes from the brush holder [A].
•
Remove:
Brush Springs [B]
Starter Motor Terminal [C]
Positive Brush Assy [D] and O-ring
Screw [E]
Negative Brush Assy [F]
Brush Holder
Starter Motor Assembly
•
Align the hole [A] of the brush holder [B] to the boss [C]
of the end cover [D].
•
Install the negative brush assy [A] to the brush holder [B].
•
Tighten the s crew [C] securely.
•
Install the positive brush assy [D] to the brush holder.
•
Install the starter motor terminal.
