10 Troubleshooting
Fault Cause Remedy
Instrument switches off automatically. batteries discharged. Replace the batteries, section 8.4 on
page 31.
The instrument has been ready to measure
for more than four minutes.
Instrument leaves menu-mode automatically
and shows measuring mode.
Instrument has an automatically switch off of
the menu after 120 sec. without use.
Reselect menu item.
Instrument does not power up. Batteries are discharged. Insert new batteries.
Insufficient volume/sample invalid. The test subject is not breathing continuously
or vigourously enough.
Ask to blow harder and more evenly.
Fault in display Cause Remedy
"Accuracy check error" Accuracy check not successful. Repeat accuracy check, if fault reappears, call
DrägerService.
BAC measured exceeds measuring limits. Apply smaller concentrations.
"Internal System ERROR"
with service code
Unit fault. Remove batteries (2 sec.) and insert them
again, if the fault reappears call
