Bath Heater Error
The Bath Error - Heater Disabled screen shows all of the possible errors
associated with the bath heater and the bath probe. A red X displays
before the current error condition. If a bath heater error is encountered,
the current running method is not stopped and you are given the option
of correcting the error and continuing the test. Press Retry to retest for
the error. If the error has been corrected, the dialog clears and you are
returned to the Main screen. Press Ignore to ignore the error until the
unit is powered on / off again.
Bath Heater Error
• Action
Heater Probe Open or No Comm.
• Ensure the bath heater cable is connected.
• Check cable.
Heater Air Pocket or Heater OFF
• The heater / circulator temperature is more than 6 °C hotter
than the bath temperature probe indicating an air pocket or
stagnant hot water in the heater element. Follow the
priming procedure on the back of the Wide Input Range
Heater / Circulator.
Bath Temperature 2 ºC Over Setpoint
• Check for a faulty probe.

Bath Overtemperature
• Turn off the bath heater.
• Contact Agilent Customer Care (“Obtaining Warranty and
Other Services” on page 134).
Bath Probe Open
• Ensure the bath probe is plugged in.
• Replace the bath probe.
Bath Probe Short
• Replace the bath probe.
• Contact Agilent Customer Care (“Obtaining Warranty and
Other Services” on page 134).
Heater Probe Short
• Contact Agilent Customer Care (“Obtaining Warranty and
Other Services” on page 134).
