APN Settings
An Access Point Name (APN) is the name of a gateway between a mobile
network and another computer network, mostly the public Internet. The
APN settings are used by services that communicates using other computer
networks. The APN settings for most major service providers are already in-
cluded from start. There are different APN settings for different services
like message, data and AGPS.
Follow the steps below if your service provider’s profile is not in the list or
if you need to change any setting. Contact your service provider for correct
settings.
1. Press
Menu Settings Network & connectivity Mobile
network & Data
APN Settings.
2. Select a profile and the a service provider.
3. Press Opt.
Add/Edit to enter settings for your service provider:
APN to enter the APN address.
Identifier (User name) to enter user name.
Password to enter password.
HTTP proxy host to enter HTTP proxy address.
HTTP proxy port to enter HTTP proxy port.
MMS proxy to enter MMS proxy address.
MMS port to enter MMS proxy port.
MMSC to enter the MMSC.
Authentication to select the type of authentication to be used.
APN Type to enter the APN type.
Protocol to select the type of protocol to be used.
Roaming protocol to select the type of protocol to be used when
roaming.
4. Press Save to save or Cancel to return.
5. Select your new/modified profile and press Activate.
You can also delete a profile by selecting one and press Opt.
Delete.
Network information
View your current network settings.
