Thistelephoneishearingaidcompatible.Hearing-aidcompatibilityis
notaguaranteethataspecichearingaidwillworkwithaspecic
telephone.Mobiletelephonescontainradiotransmittersthatmay
interferewithhearingaidperformance.Thisphonehasbeentested
forusewithhearingaids,forsomeofthewirelesstechnologiesthat
ituses,buttheremaybesomenewerwirelesstechnologiesthat
havenotbeentestedyetforusewithhearingaids.Toensurethata
specichearingaidworkswellwiththistelephone,testthemtogether
beforemakingapurchase.
Thestandardforhearingaidcompatibilitycontainstwotypesof
ratings:
M:Touseyourhearingaidinthismode,makesurethatyour
hearingaidissetto"M-mode"oracousticcouplingmode,and
positionthetelephonesreceivernearthehearingaid’sbuilt-in
microphone.Forthebestresults,tryusingthetelephonein
differentpositionsrelativetoyourhearingaid—forexample,
placingthereceiverslightlyabovetheearmayresultinbetter
performanceforhearingaidswithmicrophonespositionedbehind
theear.
