4.3 Replacing the Flash EPROM on the V1 Main Board

To replace the Flash EPROM on the RCV1 board:

♦ Remove all cables from the back of the V1.

♦ Remove the V1 top cover.

♦ Locate the socketed 32 pin PLCC IC (U6: NH29EE010) on the DVP100 PC board, note the

direction of pin 1 (cut on one corner of the socket) and remove it using a special PLCC extractor

tool.

♦ Install the new 32 pin PLCC IC in the socket. MAKE SURE THAT CUT ON THE CORNER

OF THE IC ALIGNS WITH THE CUT ON THE SOCKET (RIGHT HAND SIDE AND

TOWARDS THE FRONT IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF THE V1).

♦ Replace the V1 top cover and connect all the necessary cables.
