Recharging
Your Writer has an internal rechargeable battery, which does not need to be
removed. Follow these steps to recharge your Writers battery.
1. Locate the micro-USB port at the top right side of the Writer. Figure 1
2. Insert the smallest end of the micro-USB cable provided with the Writer,
into the port. Figure 2
3. Insert the largest end of the micro-USB cable, into a USB compatible
power source such as a USB port on a computer or laptop. Take care that
the power source is USB compatible.
4. A red light will indicate that the Writer is charging.
5. When the red light turns off your Writer is fully charged and ready to use.
Turning Off & On
When your iPad is positioned correctly in the Writer frame, the Writer will
turn on and off automatically when you open and close the cover. Use the
following instructions to understand how the Writer operates when the
cover is opened and closed.
1. When you close the cover, the Writer will turn off its Bluetooth connection
and will not use any battery power; you will see the Bluetooth icon on
your iPad change to the ‘off’ status. The Writer will also turn off your iPad.
2. When you open the cover, the Writer will wake up and you can begin
typing; you do not need to re-connect it with the iPad.
