10 Transport and storage

Before transporting and storing the generator, proceed as follows:
➤ Turn OFF the fuel tap.
➤ Allow the generator to cool off before moving or storing.
➤ Close the fuel cap tightly.
➤ Turn OFF the fuel cap vent lever.

During long-term storage it is important to prevent gum deposits from forming in
essential fuel system parts such as the carburetor, fuel hose or tank.
WARNING! FIRE HAZARD
Transport or store the generator only if it has cooled down completely.
NOTICE! FIRE HAZARD
• Always allow the generator to cool down before moving or storing.
High temperature will be present at the rear side of the unit for some
time after shutdown.
• Don't turn the fuel cap vent lever (fig. f 4, page 24) to “OFF” posi-
tion before the engine is cooled down.
