10 Rectifying faults
I
Note
If you have detailed questions on the specifications of the
inverter please contact WAECO.
Fault Cause Remedy
No output voltage No contact to the battery Check contact and cable.
Battery voltage less than 11 V
(MSP 162/MSP 352) or 22 V
(MSP 164/MSP 354)
Charge the battery (start the
engine).
Overheating Switch off power consuming
devices.
Let the inverter cool down
and ensure better ventilation.
Defective fuse (in the inverter
or the vehicle)
Have an electrician change
the fuse.
Warning signal during
operation
The battery voltage is less than
11 V (MSP 162/MSP 352) or
22 V (MSP 164/MSP 354)
Charge the battery.
Poor contact to the battery Clean the contacts.
Warning sound during
operation below nominal
load
Insufficient battery power. Charge the battery.
Inadequate cable connection
(cross section too small or poor
contact).
Use a cable with a larger
cross section and check
contacts.
The device switches on and
off repeatedly
Excessive constant load Reduce the load.
The inverter switches off
when the consumer is
switched on
Starting current too high Compare the device power
with the maximum power of
the inverter.
