• Conformance graph. Plots Just Noticeable Differences (JNDs) per
luminance interval. The graph shows the mean value for JND/
luminance interval, the DICOM Luminance Uniformity Metric
(LUM), and the line of best fit (FIT). These values are useful in
quantifying the quality of conformance with the DICOM
Grayscale Standard Display Function. The closer the JND values
are to the mean line, the better the DICOM conformance.
Moreover, the closer the calculated LUM metric is to 0 (zero), the
better the DICOM conformance.
