2.1 Supported Dolby technologies

broadcast audio experiences. All Dolby codecs are designed for broadcast bit-rate efficiency and
loudness management, and several offer immersive sound experience.

immersive 5.1.2-channel output.
The DP580 is especially useful for confidence monitoring, checking and displaying
metadata, and rendering to a given speaker configuration.
Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos content
A new version of the Dolby Digital Plus multichannel surround technology.
Dolby ED2
The latest iteration of the Dolby broadcast contribution format.
For home theater experience:
Dolby Digital Plus
The advanced Dolby 7.1-channel surround-sound codec.
Dolby Digital
The original Dolby 5.1-channel surround-sound codec.
Dolby E
The original Dolby broadcast contribution format.
