Using the DP600
2.2 Starting the System for the First Time
TheDP600touchscreenprovidesauser‐friendlyinterfacewhereyouperformactionsby
pressingtherespectivescreenarea.Thetouchscreeniscalibratedduringthe
manufacturingprocess.
WhenyoustarttheDP600forthefirsttime,theDP600Welcome!screenappears,which
providesachecklistofthingsyouneedbefore
youcansetupthesystem,asshownin
Figure 2‐3.

Toconfigurethesystem:
1. Besureyouarereadytoproceedbycheckingthe
Welcome!screen,thenpressthe
rightarrowatthebottomofthescreen.
The
Networkscreenappears,asshownintheexampleinFigure 2‐4.Beforeyousetup
thesystem,theIPaddressappearsonlyifyouenterastaticIPaddress(DHCP
unchecked).Ifyou’reusingDHCP,theIPaddressdoesnotappearuntilyoucomplete
thesystemsetup.
Caution: Beforestartingthesystem,besureit’sconnectedtoanactivenetwork.
Note: Inthisscreen,andinallthefollowingDP600setupscreens,youenter
informationtoconfigureyoursystem.Ifyoupressthe
cancelbuttonat
thebottomleftcornerofanyofthefo llowingsetupscreens,thesystem
cancelsallofyourentries(inallthesetupscreens,inadditiontothe
currentlydisplayedsetupscreen).Acancelconfirmpromptappears.
Ifyouconfirm,theunitcancelsyourentriesandautomaticallyreboots,
and
thentheWelcome!screenreappears.Atthispoint,youcanreenter
yoursettings.
