Certainmetadataparametersallowtheengineertoselecthowthestereodownmixis
constructedandwhichstereoanalogsignalispreferred,butLt/Rtisthedefaultselection

Duringdownmixing,aswehaveseen,theadjustmentofDynamicRangeControl
parametersislimited.Broadlyspeaking,thestereooutputsusetheLinemodecompression
profilewhilethemonosignalusesRFmodecompression.Aswithdynamicrange control,
downmixingisultimatelydependentuponeachconsumer’sunique
listening
environment.
Whiletheengineermustoptimizethemultichannelmixforreproductioninanideal
listeningenvironment,itisalsoimportanttopreviewthemixindownmixingconditions
toensurecompatibilitywithdifferentplaybacksystemswhenselectingthedownmixing
metadataparameters.Thesepreviewscanbeachievedinrealtimeusingthe
