2.2.1 DP600 Home Screen
AfteryoucompletetheDP600setup,theunitautomatically rebootsandtheDP600home
screenappears,asshowninFigure 2‐23.
Thisscreendisplaysthedateandtimeattheupperrightcorner.Thesystemstatusinthe
rightcolumnshowsiconsindicatingthecurrentstatusofthe
server,network(net),anddisk
(foreachinstalledharddrive).Agreenhappyfaceicon indicatescorrectfunctionality.A
redsadfaceicon indicatesaproblem;ifyouseethisicon,youneedtocheckformore
details,asdescribedinSection 2.2.2.
The
work ordersand reportsiconsalsoappearinthehomescreen.You’lllearnhowtouse
theworkorderandreportfunctionslaterinthischapter,as describedinSection 2.4.
Notethelockiconnexttothedateandtime.Whenthisiconisinthelocked position,the
systemisinview‐onlymode.Inthismode,youcan
displaysomeinformationandcheck
thesystemstatus,butcannotoperatethesystemorperformadministrativefunctions.To
operatethesystem,obtaina
USERlevelIDfromyourDP600systemadministrator.System
administratorscanalsoperformall
USERlevelfunctions.
Togainaccesstospecificfunctions,pressthelockicontologinwiththeappropriate
user‐levelIDandpassword.Whenyoulogin,the lockiconchangestotheunlocked
positionandyourID appearsbelowthetimeanddate,asshowninFigure 2‐42.
After30
minutesofidletime,thesystemreturnstothelockedposition,butyoushouldlog
outbypressingthelockiconandpressing
logout—tolockthesystem—wheneveryou’ re
doneworkingintheunlockedmode.
