1.5.3 System Reset and Display Controls
Theserecessedbuttonsarelocatedbehindthetouchscreen,abovetheCD/DVDROM
drive.Ifyouneedtopressanyofthesebuttons,useanonconductivematerial,suchasa
toothpick.
Ifyoupressthe
System Resetbutt on,thesystemrestarts.Pressthisrecessedbuttononlyif
youcannotrestartthesystembypressing<Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Delete>torestart.Alwaysavoid
restartingbydisconnectingandreconnectingthepowercables.
Youcanusethe
Display controlbuttontoadjusttheLCDdisplay.
1.5.4 Power Supply Indicators
ThreepowersupplyLEDsonthefrontpanelindicatewhetherthepowerison,ifoneofthe
redundantpowersupplieshasfailed,andthetemperatu reofthe unit.
Power:ThisgreenLEDlightswhentheDP600haspower.
Powersupplyfailure:ThisredLEDisoffduringnormaloperation.It
lightsor
flashesredifeitheroftheredundantpowersuppliesfails.
Temperature:ThistricolorLEDglowsgreenwhenthetemperatureoftheunitis
cool,yellowifthetemperatureiswarm,andredifthetemperatureishot.Ifthis
LEDisyelloworred,theoperatingenvironmentmaybe
warmerthanexpected
andinneedofmodification.Insuchacase,callyourDolbyauthorizedtechnical
representativeimmediately.
1.5.5 Internal Drive Indicators
TheDP600hasfivephysicalinternalharddrives.Drives1and2arearrangedina
RAID1configurationtoprovideprotectionfortheoperatingsystemaswellas
localstorage.Theremainingthreeharddrivesareconfiguredasseparatedrivesto
providelocalstorage.ThisconfigurationofoneRAIDpair
andthreeseparate
drivesrepresentsfourlogicaldrives.
TherearefourbicolorLEDsonthefrontpanel,labeled
1,2,3,and4.TheseLEDsindicate
thestatusoftheDP600’sfourlogicalinternalharddrives.ThedriveLEDsfunctionas
follows:
•Off(nonilluminated):Indicatesafunctionaldrivewithnocurrentdisk accessactivity
•Green:Indicatesnormaldriveactivity
•Red:Indicatesadrivefailure
LED
1 showsthestatusofthe twodriveRAID1configuration.Theoperatingsystemis
installedonthesemirroreddrivestopreventaphysicaldrivefailure,resultinginan
inoperablesystem.Ifeitherofthemirroreddrivesfails,theotherRAIDdriveenablesthe
systemtooperatenormallyuntilthefaileddrive
isreplaced.
