13.8.1 Special Notes on the
Prevention of Damage to Brake
Hoses
Before welding, drilling, grinding or working with cutting
disks always cover the plastic brake hoses and brake
lines. Remove the brake hoses and brake lines if
necessary. Check systems for pressure loss after the
brake hoses and brake lines have been reinstalled.
Any interference with the integrity of the brake
system, including but not limited to, damaging the
brake hoses and the brake lines, may cause brake
system failure and may lead to serious injury or
death.
