Basic Operation
Character Entry
Entering characters
You can enter characters by key operation and
touch operation.
Active input method depends on the style of
FOMA terminal when you open the character
entry screen. Key operation input activates in the
open style and touch operation input activates in
the flip style.
5-touch input is an input method to switch a
character by pressing a key repeatedly.

Enter character on the character entry

When a character is entered, the cursor
automatically moves in a regular interval. To
quickly enter characters assigned to an
identical key consecutively, press
r
.

Conversion options appear at the bottom of
the screen. You can select a character from the
options by pressing
d
.

Characters on the character entry screen are
converted. Press
C
again to display a
conversion options list.
Operations during character entry
Returning to the previous character :
n
Deleting characters :
c
Adding voiced/semi-voiced sound or switching
upper/lower case :
*
There are 3 methods.
Hand writing input :
Write characters with your
finger directly in the hand writing entry area.
Touch key input :
Select a character with touch
operation.
Touch QWERTY key input :
Enter characters like
using a PC keyboard, by pressing alphabet in
Roman letter spelling corresponding to
Japanese reading.
