Cleaning
Cleaning the Inside of the Printer
If white lines or dots appear on printed photos, clean the
inside of the printer using the supplied cleaning cartridge
(white) and the protective sheet contained in the print pack.
The cleaning cartridge is labeled “Cleaning Cartridge.”
• Perform cleaning only if white lines or dots appear on
prints.
• Performing cleaning when normal print results can be
obtained will not improve the print quality.
1 Remove the paper tray, and remove any paper from the
tray.
2 Place the protective sheet with its imprinted side
facing down and the arrow pointing in the same
direction as the arrow on the tray.
3 Open the cartridge compartment cover, and remove
the print cartridge.
4 Insert the supplied cleaning cartridge, and close the
cartridge compartment cover.
[HEAD CLEANING] appears on the LCD display.
5 Press the EXEC button.
The cleaning cartridge and protective sheet will clean
the inside of the printer. After the cleaning is finished,
the protective sheet ejects automatically.
6 Remove the cleaning cartridge from the unit, and
reinsert the print cartridge and paper tray.
