Names and Functions of Parts

(1) SD card slot
Insert an SD card or wireless LAN SD card here.
(2) USB port (device)
Use this to connect the unit to a computer via a USB
cable.

Insert a USB memory device here.

(4) Slot cover
Remove this when using the USB ports or the SD card slot.
(5) Paper tray slot
Insert the paper tray here.
(6) LCD display
When the unit is turned on, the operation status and menu
items appear here.
(7) MENU button
Press this to display the menu screens.
(8) EXEC button
When operating the menu, press this to execute selected
menu items.
(9) Control button
When operating the menu, press this to select and
configure menu items.
(10) On/standby button/indicator
When you press this, the indicator lights and power is
supplied to the unit. Pressing it again makes the indicator
turn off, and the unit enters standby mode.
(11) Status indicator
Displays the status of the unit.
Lit (red): A problem has occurred with the unit. Contact
your dealer.
Lit (orange): One of the following has occurred.
A paper jam or ribbon break has occurred.
The print paper or print cartridge has run out or is not
inserted.
The print paper and cartridge sizes do not match.
Check the error message on the LCD display, and
perform the indicated action. For details, see “Error
Messages” on page 40.
Lit (green): Wireless network connection is established
and DPOF print marks are set, or printing is in
progress.
