Step 5 Press the * button to manually start an update. After pressing the *
button to start the update, the Update Status screen will be displayed,
such as the following for DMMs connecting via a modem:
Dialing:

Or (briefly) this screen for network update DMMs:

If you have attempted to start an update while the DMM is already
connected, the DMM will display the following message:
Currently stopping
download. Please try
again later...
< MENU | EXIT >
Once the DMM has connected to the DMX MUSIC server, the LCD will
indicate that it is uploading functionality logs.
Sending status
< MENU | EXIT >
Once the logs have been uploaded, the DMM will search for music,
messaging, or configuration updates to download. If any updates are
available, the DMM will download them. The example below denotes a
music update.
