The reason the DMM could not connect will be displayed. Please refer to
Appendix A, Update Status Information Messages for an explanation of each
error message.
2.3.3 – Setting the Dialing Profile (Modem Connection Only)
Setting the dialing profile determines how the DMM attempts to dial the ISP number.
Option A uses 7-digit dialing (i.e., “555-1212”), or local number dialing. Option B
uses 10-digit dialing (i.e., “555-555-1212”), used in many regions for local dialing
and also for local long distance. Option C uses 1+10-digit dialing (i.e., “1-555-555-
