FLEXIBLE COMMUNICATION
The XR500N has transitioned from dialer-
focusedcommunicationstoatruenetwork
and cellular communications approach by
providing stronger, multi-layered panel
communicationsthatensureaconstantlink
between the panel and Central Station.
Installershavetheabilitytocreate,congure
and manage up to eight communication
paths.
The unique DMP Serial 3 format supports
16-characteruser, zoneandareanamesto
decreasethecentral stationresponsetime
andlimitdependenceonautomationliteral
tablesformessageconversion.
NETWORK OR CELLULAR
COMMUNICATION
Built-in Ethernet Communications enhance
network options and provide Standard and
EncryptedLineSecurity.BothUDPandTCP
aresupported.Thenetworkoptioncanbe
usedastheprimaryor backup path tothe
digitaldialerorcellularoption.

Communicator can be used as the primary
path,providinginstallationexibilitywhere
no land lines are available. Used as the
backuppath,the463Gprovidesthesecurity
of a communication link that continues to
function, even when land lines are cut or
compromised.Thisinterfaceworksondigital
Cellular GSM/GPRS data networks over a
varietyofcarriersintheUSAandCanada.
ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY
If a current primary communication path
becomes unavailable,Adaptive Technology
directs the panel to make a seamless
transitionfromonecommunicationpathto
anotherwithinmilliseconds,ensuringthatno
check-inorsupervisionmessagesaremissed.
Thisallowsasystemto befullysupervised
when the primary communication path is
unavailable,whileminimizingexpensivecell
trafcwhenallpathsaregood.Thepanelis
constantlycheckingthefailedpathtoenable
thepaneltorevertbacktotheprimarypath
whencommunicationisrestored.
EIGHT COMMUNICATION
PATHS
Create,congure,andmanage up to eight
communicationpathsbetweenthepaneland
CentralStation.Eachpathhasitsownpanel
communication programming parameters,
and can be identied as either primary or
backup.Thisenablesinstallerstocongurea
reliablecommunicationlink,offeringgreater
condence that the panel will always be
connectedtotheCentralStation.
RECURRING MESSAGING
REVENUE
InTouch messages are transmitteddirectly
between the panel and cell phone or
browser with no external servers. Dealers
can offer these much-appreciated services
totheir customersandrealizethebenets
ofadditionalrecurringrevenue.
CUSTOMERS STAY "IN
TOUCH™"
The DMP In Touch messaging features let
users send commands via text messages
to Cellular and Network equipped panels.
Residential and commercial users can now
remotely control their systems. Users can
armordisarmtheirsystem,controloutputs,
retrieve system status, and perform other
functions. Each command received by the
panelisacknowledgedbacktotheuservia
returnSMSMessage.
WithInTouchfeatures, users areinformed
of alarm system activity and status— The
panel transmits Email or text messages
regarding alarms, troubles, and arming/
disarming events. The GPRS/SMS messages
canbedirected toasmanyasthree email
addresses(upto48characterseach)orcell
phonenumbers.Messagingcanbecongured
viaRemoteLink™orfromthekeypad.
COMMUNICATION FUNCTION
DIAGNOSTICS
The enhanced diagnostic menu enables
technicians to check network and cellular
communicationstatus,cell signalstrength,
andemailstatusfromthekeypad.
SUPERVISED CELLULAR
COMMUNICATION
Addfullysupervisedcellularcommunication

Communicator. The CellComRT Remote
Communicator allows remote mounting up
to250feetfromthepanel.Paneldiagnostics
verify the connection between the panel
andcellularcommunicator,providingafully
supervisedalarmcommunicationpath over
theGSM/GPRSnetwork.
CANCEL/VERIFY
In a Home/Sleep/Away or All/Perimeter
system,CANCELaburglaryalarmorVERIFY
that a valid burglar alarm has occurred.
SelectingVERIFYmanuallyveriesthealarm
andanalarmvericationmessageissentto
theCentralStation.
GUEST OPERATION
Using the Home/Sleep/Away with Guest
Houseoperation,createuptothreeseparate
systems (main and two guest).  Keypads
in each system can selectively arm the
perimeter,interior,orbedroomsforonlytheir
protectedareas.Mainsystemuserscanadd
authorizeduserstoallprotectedareas,but
guestscanaddusersonlyfortheirprotected
system.
MULTI-TENANT FUNCTIONS
For commercial or multi-family residential
installations,Multi-TenantOperationenables
thetransmissionofalarmsandalertsbyarea
accountnumberinsteadofsystem account
numberenablingtenantsandCentralStations
to identify specific zone events. Tenants
canonlysilencealarmsoriginatingintheir
protectedarea.
AREAS
Program up to 32 areas with a variety of
options,includingindependentarming.Each
areahasauniquenameandmayhaveitsown
accountnumber.
Commonareasautomaticallyarmwhenthe
lastindependent areaisarmedanddisarm
whentherstindependentareaisdisarmed.
Thisisidealforlobbiesorareaswhereusers
needcommonaccesstospecicareasonly.
DMP WIRELESS
The easily  programmable
900MHz frequency-hopping
spread-spectrumDMP1100XSerieswireless
systemfeaturesTwo-waycommunicationfor
superioroperation,supervisionandbattery
life. Two-way communication minimizes
repetitive signaling and helps to quickly
identifymissingtransmitters.Simplekeypad
access can be used to verify that wireless
device zones are in working order. The
1100XI,1100XH,1100DI,and1100DHWireless
Receivers, as well as the 1100R Wireless
Repeater are now authorized for wireless
CommercialBurglaryapplications.
