Getver Reference
-CPU is a case-sensitive option argument to be used for srec files only if getver
<filename>
fails. Some possible values are PPC, ONYX, and C6X.
Note: You must specify the path to the file if you do not execute getver from the directory in which the
file is located (in this case, the data directory).
19.3 Output
Getver will print the version string of the specified file to the screen unless it encounters an
unknown versioning format. In such a case, getver will print the following message to the screen:
Version format not recognized - file not processed
Here are some examples of output:
Expected output for new “DLcid” versioning format:
Version: <The version number string following "DLcid">
Expected Output for old “DLcid” versioning format
Embedded name: <embedded name>
Version: <version number> Build <build number>
Expected output for Windows versioning format:
Version: <version number>
