Stopping Motors Mid-ight
Stopping motors mid-ight will cause the aircraft to crash. The motors should only be stopped mid-
ight in an emergency situation such as if a collision has occurred or if the aircraft is out of control and
is ascending/descending very quickly, rolling in the air, or if a motor has stalled. To stop the motors mid-
ight use the same CSC that was used to start the motors.
Test Flight
Takeo/Landing Procedures
1. Place the aircraft in an open, at area with the Aircraft Status Indicator facing towards you.
2. Turn on the aircraft and the remote controller.
3. Launch the DJI GO 4 app and enter Camera View.
4. Wait until the Aircraft Status Indicator blinks green quickly indicating that the Home Point has been
recorded and it is now safe to y.
5. Gently push the throttle stick to take o, or use auto takeo.
6. Pull the throttle stick or use auto landing to land the aircraft.
7. Turn o the aircraft and remote controller.
If the Aircraft Status Indicator blinks yellow quickly during ight, the remote control signal has
been lost and the aircraft will activate Failsafe RTH. Refer to the Return to Home section for
more information.
If the Aircraft Status Indicator blinking red slowly or quickly during ight a low battery level
warning or critically low battery level warning has occurred.
Watch the Mavic Air video tutorials to learn more about takeo/landing procedures.
Video Suggestions and Tips
1. The pre-ight checklist is designed to help you y safely and to ensure that you are able to shoot
video during ight. Go through the full pre-ight checklist before each ight.
2. Select the desired gimbal operation mode in the DJI GO 4 app.
3. Only shoot video when ying in P-mode.
Stopping the Motors
There are two methods to stop the motors.
1. Method 1: When the aircraft has landed, push and hold the left stick down. The motors will stop after
three seconds.
2. Method 2: When aircraft has landed, push the left stick down, then conduct the same CSC that was
used to start the motors, as described above. The motors will stop immediately. Release
both sticks once the motors have stopped.
