Safety at a Glance
1. Environmental Considerations
•
Only y in environments that are clear of magnetic or radio interference, buildings, and other obstacles.
DO NOT y
above or near large crowds.
•
Only y below 4,000 m (13,123 ft) above sea level.
•
Only y in moderate weather conditions with temperatures between 0° to 40° C (32° to 104° F).
•
Only y in authorized areas. Refer to the Regulations & Flight Restrictions section for more information.
•
Be careful while ying indoors because the aircraft stabilization features may be interfered with.
2. Pre-Flight Checklist
•
Make sure the remote controller and aircraft batteries are fully charged.
•
Make sure that the arms of the aircraft are all unfolded before ying. Make sure the battery cover is locked and the
Intelligent Flight Battery is securely mounted.
•
Make sure to remove the gimbal protector before powering on the aircraft.
•
Make sure the propellers are in good condition. The marked and unmarked propellers must be matched to the
corresponding motors with marked and unmarked arms and securely tightened before each ight.
•
Make sure there is nothing obstructing the motors.
•
Check that the camera lens and sensors are clean and free of stains.
•
Make sure to complete the pre-ight checklist in the DJI Fly app. When connecting an Android mobile device to the
remote controller for the rst time, select the default connection settings when a prompt appears.
•
Make sure the DJI Fly app and aircraft rmware have been upgraded to the latest version.
•
Be familiar with the selected ight mode and understand all safety functions and warnings.
3. Operation
•
Stay away from the propellers when they are rotating.
•
Maintain visual line of sight (VLOS) of your aircraft at all times.
•
For optimal performance, DO NOT charge the remote controller during use.
•
DO NOT answer incoming calls, text messages, or do anything that may distract you from operating your smart device
to control the aircraft during ight.
•
DO NOT y under the inuence of alcohol or drugs.
•
DO NOT y close to reective surfaces such as water or snow, as these types of terrain may affect the performance
of the vision system. Only y the aircraft in environments with good lighting and visibility when the GPS signal is weak.
•
Land the aircraft in a safe location when there is a low battery or high wind warning.
•
The aircraft cannot avoid obstacles during Return-to-Home (RTH). Use the remote controller to control the aircraft's
speed and altitude to avoid collisions during RTH.
•
The pilot must pay attention and control the aircraft at all times during ight. Use DJI Fly to set the RTH altitude at a
level higher than any obstacles in the surrounding environment.
•
Only when the ight controller detects critical error mid-ight shall the motors be stopped by combination stick
command.
