Installing a Camera Lens

Required Lens Accessories

The DL-mount of Zenmuse X7 supports the DJI DL/DL-S Lens series. The performance of the

gimbal is aected by the weight of the camera. The balancing ring, lens hood, and lens protector

are included in the DJI DL/DL-S Lens.

When mounting the lens accessories, the following instructions must be strictly adhered to:

1. The lens protector is used to protect the lens during transportation, storage, and use, and

does not reduce the amount of light coming into the sensor. It is recommended to use it in

severe shooting environments to prolong the service life of the lens. However, there might be

lens are in some situations when the protector is in use.

2. Non-ocial lters are supported for both DL/DL-S lenses. Please use a lter with a diameter

of 46 mm, a weight between 10 to 12 g, and a thickness of 4.4 mm (thread mount excluded).

To balance the gimbal weight, the following combination is recommended when mounting the

lens onto the Zenmuse X7:

a. Lens hood + lens protector

b. Lens hood + balancing ring

c. Lens hood + ND lter

d. Two ND lters

Attaching a Lens

Please follow the steps below to mount a lens to the camera body. The following instructions use

the DJI DL 24mm F/2.8 LS ASPH lens as an example.

1. Remove the camera body cap.

2. Remove the lens cap and rear cap.
