9 VP Series 2000 Components

The VP Series 2000 range of products consists the components illustrated in Figure 1. The
components include the Sensor Body, Cell Retainer, e-module and Enclosure Retainer.
9.1 Field Device Configurations
VP Series 2000 field devices are available in tri-axial or uni-axial vibration monitoring and includes
temperature monitoring. A dedicated repeater field device is available in order to extend the wireless
network reach. Refer to the product data sheet for sensor ordering information.
9.1.1 Integrated Vibration and Temperature Monitoring
The VP Series 2000 field devices that contain either tri-axial or uni-axial integrated sensors as well as
a temperature sensor. They are also capable of operating as wireless routers in networks that support
mesh networking. Refer to the applicable wireless network infrastructure vendor documentation for
additional information on how to enable or disable the sensor router role and sensor routing options.
Note!
Enabling the router role of a VP Series 2000 sensor will significantly affect cell life.
