5 Hazardous Location Requirements
The information in Section 5 is identical to document DSDVP001. No changes are allowed in this
section without prior approval from the notified body.
5.1 Additional Warnings
The following warnings apply in addition to any marking on the equipment.
WARNING – POTENTIAL ELECTROSTATIC CHARGING HAZARD.
The equipment shall only be cleaned with a damp cloth when deployed in a hazardous area.

5.1 Avertissements supplémentaires

5.2 Approved Electrical Cells
Only the cells listed in Table 3 are approved for use with the equipment. The use of any battery or cell
other than the type listed will void the safety rating and present a significant safety hazard.

5.3 Ambient Temperature Rating
When operating in a hazardous atmosphere, the ambient temperature rating of the equipment
depends on the electrical cell installed. Refer to Table 4 for the applicable ambient temperature
ratings.
