WOVEN POLYPROPYLENE DUCT STRAP

Installation Recommendations*
To install strap first determine and mark primary locations for duct support. Straps
should be located close enough as to prevent duct sagging or as specified by local
building code requirements.
Attach one side of strap to supporting joist by folding over the end of the strap 3”-4” and
securing it with either a #8 screw or a minimum 3/8” staple. Additional screws or
staples may be added if desired.
Wrap strap under ductwork creating a “cradle” for it to rest in. For even greater stability
you may wrap ductwork completely around once. Check with your local building codes
to insure this is an allowable procedure in your area.
Duct should be seated securely in strap. Do not pull strap so taught that it creates
excess tension on the ductwork.
Secure second side of strap in the same fashion as first side and them cut free from roll.
