This product is formulated to provide insulation and to prevent
condensation on pipes, ttings, and tubings used in heating, air
conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing. It can also be used on
hot pipes.
Cork Insulation Tape is a polymer-based material containing butyl
rubber, asphalt, and granulated cork (55% by volume). It
contains no bers.
This product adheres well to most clean, dry surfaces and to itself,
making it possible to apply more than one layer without adding
fasteners or adhesives. It is suciently so and pliable to be
molded around most ttings and connections. The material
retains its exibility and adhesion aer prolonged exposure to UV
and over a large temperature range. It has an indenite service
life if stored under normal warehouse conditions.
