TV Antenna/Cable In
The TV ANTENNA/CABLE IN is used if you want the satellite
receiver to connect the tuner of the nearby TV to an over-the-air
antenna or cable-TV distribution system when the satellite
receiver is turned off or when using the TV/VIDEO button on
the remote control. Use a coaxial cable to make this connection
to an over-the-air (OTA) antenna or cable-TV system. The
TV
A
NTENNA/CABLE IN connection is color-coded black. Your TV
must be connected to the
CHANNEL 3-4 output to use this feature.
TV2 Connections
Do not use any TV2 connections to connect to your TV. These connections are
inactive.
Other Connections
Satellite In
The SATELLITE IN connection(s) are used to
receive satellite TV signals from the dish
antenna. The connection is made using
RG-6 coaxial cable(s). The
SATELLITE IN
connections are color-coded blue.
Note: Connect a single RG-6 cable from the dish antenna to SATELLITE IN 1.
This installation does not support dual-tuner enabled features like PIP. (For
some installations with two existing RG-6 cables from the compatible LNBF or
switch, you can connect one to
SATELLITE IN 1 and the other to SATELLITE IN 2.)
Remote Antenna (for optional accessory)
The REMOTE ANTENNA port receives UHF Pro signals
from an optional IR/UHF Pro remote control so that it can
control menus and programming from another area. Connect this antenna here,
and place it so that it does not touch anything. If you do not connect the antenna,
you cannot use a UHF-enabled remote to control the receiver’s menus and
programming. The
REMOTE ANTENNA port is color-coded green.
Telephone Jack
The TELEPHONE JACK is used to connect the receiver to an
active telephone line. Use a standard RJ-11 telephone cable
assembly to make the connection. You must keep the receiver
connected to an active telephone line. Otherwise, you may not
be able to order pay-per-view programs, use all of the DISH
Interactive features, or access other DISH customer services.

Remote controls give you easy access to all the features of your satellite
Tip: If you connect
a cable to the TV/
Antenna In port,
attach the black
cable sticker to the

is connected to the

stickers are all
located inside the
