Sending Discrete Power On and Off
SENDING DISCRETE POWER ON AND OFF
Discrete power ON and power OFF IR commands are used when programming macro
commands into universal remotes. Using an ON-only or OFF-only command is more
effective than a toggle ON/OFF command when trying to make sure the dish antenna is
reliably in one state or the other. To send a discrete power ON or OFF command, use the
following steps:
1 Program the remote control to control all the devices that you would like to control.
2 Press SAT until all the Mode buttons light up.
3 Press POWER.
4 Press VOLUME UP for discrete power on. Press VOLUME DOWN for discrete power off.
5 Press any button to end this procedure.
QUESTIONS
• My remote doesn’t control my receiver or other components. What should I do?
– Put the remote control is in the correct mode.
– Check the batteries.
– Check the remote control address.
