Remote Control Troubleshooting
Description Procedure
The remote
control
does not
operate
the satellite
receiver.
1. Verify the remote is in SAT mode. Press SAT then the GUIDE button to see if the
Program Guide is displayed.
2. Verify the remote you are using is the correct remote for the location. If you are
troubleshooting a dualtuner, two-TV receiver, TV1 remote has a green key, and TV2 remote has a
blue key. For other receivers, refer to Receivers to verify you have the correct remote. DISH Player-
DVRs 522 and 625 use the green 1 UHF Pro key; other receivers use the black 1 UHF Pro key.
3. Verify the remote has fresh batteries. Try pressing the SAT button. If it does not light up, or the
receiver displays Low Batteries in the information banner, you may need to change the batteries.
4. Verify the batteries are installed according to the diagram in the battery compartment.
5. If the UHF Pro remote control has an A/B switch next to the battery compartment, ensure the switch
is not set to B for DISH 322, DISH 381, and DISH Player-DVRs 522, 625, and 921.
