Programming the Remote in AUX Mode
Programming a Second TV, Second VCR, Tuner or Amplier
1. Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons light up, and then release.
2. Press 0 for a second TV, 1 for a second VCR, or 2 for a tuner or amplier.
3. Enter one of the three-digit codes for your audio/video component from the Users Guide table (or read the code
from another remote using the steps in the Reading Back the Codes).
4. Press 1 to program Limited Mode (recommended).
5. Press POUND (#).
6. Conrm that the remote buttons operate the device.
Programming a Second DISH Network Receiver
Only available in remote control models 3.2, 5.2, 5.3, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 20.0, and 21.0.
When you program the remote to control another receiver in AUX mode, the remote will send out IR and UHF (not UHF
Pro) signals to the receiver (IR only for the 3.2, 5.2, 5.3, 20.0 and 21.0). You can program the remote control to operate
any DISH Network receiver, except for the following:
TV2 on DISH 322, ViP 222, ViP 622 DVR, ViP 722 DVR, ViP 722k DVR, and DISH Player-DVRs 522, 625, and 942
DishPlayer 7100/7200
1. Using the receiver you want to control with the AUX mode button, open the System Information screen using the
receiver’s front panel button. Note the current remote address.
2. Press and hold AUX until all mode buttons light up, then release. AUX ashes.
3. Press 3.
4. Enter the two digit address you noted in step 1.
5. Press POUND (#). AUX blinks three times.
6. Press RECORD to make sure the address in the remote matches the address on the receiver.
