5 Solving problems
5.1 Correcting problems yourself
Before contacting the service hotline (Zpage 123, „International Service“), please check if you can solve the prob-
lem yourself using the following table.
WARNING:
Never use a faulty appliance or operate an appliance with a faulty power cord.
Before you try to localise the problem, switch off the appliance and pull the plug from the socket.
Problem Possible cause Solution
The appliance will
not start
The power cord is not plugged in. Insert the plug into the plug socket.
Battery for the remote control
too low or flat.
Replace the battery, Zchapter 5.4, „Changing the re-
mote control's battery“.
The cover panel is not fitted or is
not fitted correctly.
Fit the cover panel (again). To do so, first insert it at the
bottom and then push it firmly at the top. Make sure
that you hear and feel it click into place.
Truman Cell
®
cleaning indicator
(" ") lights up
Truman Cell® need to be cleaned. Clean the Truman Cell® as described in Zchapter 4.2,
„Cleaning the filter components“.
The Truman Cell
®
cleaning indicator
(" ") flashes
quickly
Truman Cell
® is too wet after
cleaning or due to high air hu-
midity.
Dry the Truman Cell® in the appliance as described in
Zchapter 4.3, „Drying the wet Truman Cell® (drying
mode)“.
The appliance has been switched
off as a result of a short circuit or
due to electrical flashover.
Remove and clean the Truman Cell
®.
Re-insert the Truman Cell
®.
If the Truman Cell
® cleaning indicator (" ") then
flashes quickly again but it can be connected at the
same time, meaning the Truman Cell
® may just have
been too wet, it will need to be cleaned by the Customer
Service department (Zchapter 5.2, „Hotline and cus-
tomer service“). Return it for this purpose.

The appliance is in drying mode,
