CHAPTER 5: Remote Control
NMOS - Overview
NMOS provides a family of specifications related to networked media for
professional applications. It is produced by the Advanced Media Workflow
Association (AMWA).
Support for NMOS is introduced with the AoIP Module version SW 0.17 / HW 0.46
according to the specifications:
• IS-04 Discovery & Registration
• IS-05 Device Connection Management
IS-04 allows control and monitoring applications to find the resources on a network.
Resources include Nodes, Devices, Senders, Receivers, Sources, Flows…
IS-05 provides a transport-independent way of connecting Media Nodes.
