4.4 Serial Port Control
The SRX has a standard DB-9 serial input connector on the back panel. This connector is
shared for both RS-232 and RS-422/485 interfaces. The serial port parameters are fixed at 9600
baud, 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit (8N1). No NULL MODEM or crossover cable is
required on this port. The command protocol for controlling the switch is provided in
Appendix A.

2 – TXD (transmit data) 2 – NC
3 – RXD (receive data) 3 – Non-Inverting Transmit
