Configuration Parameters
The important parameters for the Polycom VVX 1500 C phone include:
• <dialmap/>
• <feature/>—To enable call lists, call recording, corporate directory, and
digital picture frame.
• <dns/>—To enable server redundancy.
• <reg/>—To define the line appearances and, possibly, shared line
appearances
• <msg/>—To select up single-press voice mail.
• <up/>—To provide the location of the digital pictures on the USB flash
drive, to enable the screen saver feature, and to specify call routing
parameters.
• <voIpProt/>—Specify H.323 protocol, server, gatekeeper, and DTMF
signaling parameters.
• <video/>—Specify the video call rate.
• <call/>—Specify call routing parameters and auto-answer parameters.
• <log/>—Specify basic logging levels.
• <sec/>—Specify H.323 media encryption parameters
• <mb/>—Specify the Application browser home page, a proxy to use, and
size limits.
• <prov/>—Specify the H.323 line provisioned by the Polycom®
Converged Management Application™ (CMA™) system.
The precedence order for configuration parameter changes is as follows
(highest to lowest):
• User changes through the phone’s user interface
• Web configuration through a browser

A number of sample template files are included with the UC software 3.3.1 release.
