WARNING:
• Do NOT place infant in forward-facing restraint until 
1 year and 20 lbs.
• Always use SafeStop with 
forward-facing child under 
40lbs. (see page 28).
• Remove detachable base when 
restraint is installed forward-
facing.
Fig. 1 shows a typical forward-
facing installation with a lap 
vehicle seat belt. 
Stability of installation can be 
improved by using top tether 
shown in blue, Fig. 1 (see page 
30 for top tether instructions).
1. Place restraint in forward-
facing position: Lower the 
adjustable bottom (see page 
29) for child over 25lbs, but 
do not for child under 25lbs. 
Place restraint bottom at on 
vehicle seat and slide back 
until top of restraint rmly 
contacts vehicle seat back.
2. Route seat belt through 
forward-facing belt path and 
behind restraint cover and 
buckle it. (Figs. 2 & 3) 
Conrm seat belt lays at and 
is not twisted.
Installation Tip: 
Unfasten fabric side panels and 
reach behind restraint cover for 
easy access to belt path. (Fig. 4)
