QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE FOR THE ELECTRIC CORNER WALL MOUNT FIREPLACE 1. Before using the electric corner wall mounted fireplace verify: • Are the circuit breakers for the unit on? • Are the light bulbs loose? (to check, follow the instructions for replacing the light bulbs under the maintenance section of this manual) 2. The heater may emit a slight, harmless odor when first used. This odor is a normal condition caused by the initial heating of internal heater parts. 3.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS RETAIN THIS USER’S GUIDE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. 1. Read all instructions before using the corner wall mounted electric fireplace. 2. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. The trim around the heater outlet becomes hot during heater operation.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS If you have any questions about out products please have the product model and serial numbers available upon calling Dimplex customer service. To locate the model and serial number labels see below. Record the Model Number, Serial Number, and CAT number on the front cover of this manual for future reference.
NOTE A 15amp, 120 volt circuit is required. A dedicated circuit is preferred but not essential in all cases. A dedicated circuit will be required if, after installation, the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows on a regular basis when the heater is operating. Additional appliances on the same circuit may exceed the current rating of the circuit breaker. WARNING Placing heavy objects on top of this fireplace may cause damage or injury. Maximum suggested weight to be placed on top of unit is 25 lbs/11 kg.
4. To mount the unit (excluding EWMSC-ESP,EWMSC-W) so that the wall outlet is hidden, mount the bracket 30”- 33” above the top of the outlet. (FIGURE 3) 5. Use a stud locator to determine the location of the studs in the corner. 6. Mark the stud locations on the wall. 7. Position mounting brackets on wall and align with wall stud markings. NOTE Ensure that each mounting bracket is installed into at least one wall stud.

UNIT INSTALLATION NOTE Mount the unit as shown. Lower the fireplace so that the metal flanges engage with the two wall brackets. Fasten left and right brackets to lower moulding assembly. 2. Start 4 screws in the base unit, (do not fully fasten). 3. Fit the keyhole slots over the screws and fasten the lower moulding in place. 4. Align decorative bottom panel to bottom of unit. ADJUSTING THE RESTING POSITION OF THE CLOSED FRONT DOOR After installing your front door, the top of the door may not be level, or parallel with the upper trim. The door position may be rotated (see diagram below) as necessary by turning the adjustment screws on the hinges.
To ensure the front of the door stops at a 45 degree angle to both walls, you may adjust the door stop as shown in the following figure; Door stop Loosen the two screws as shown in the diagram below and adjust the position of the door stop to set the resting position of the front door. You should aim to set the door’s front face parallel to the front of the top and bottom trim surfaces. Loosen these two screws to adjust door stop.

OPERATION – EWMC-CC-SS, EWMSC-W, EWMSC-ESP, DCWMC The controls are located inside the door panel on the lower side of the corner wall mounted electric fireplace. (FIGURE 12) DCWMC EWMC-CC-SS EWMSC-W EWMSC-ESP A. MAIN ON/OFF SWITCH The switch has two ON positions marked with and “Manual”. The “Manual“ position is for manual operation. In this position the built-in remote control is bypassed. The When in position is for operating the unit with the provided remote control.
RESETTING THE TEMPERATURE CUTOFF SWITCH Should the heater overheat, an automatic cut out will turn the heater off and it will not come back on without being reset. It can be reset by switching the MAIN ON/OFF SWITCH to OFF and waiting 5 minutes before switching the unit back on. CAUTION If you need to continuously reset the heater, unplug the unit and call Dimplex technical support at 1-888-DIMPLEX (1-888-346-7539) Extension 4. NOTE The heater may emit a slight, harmless odor when first used.
MAINTENANCE WARNING Disconnect power before attempting any maintenance or cleaning to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or damage to persons. LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT Allow at least 5 minutes for light bulbs to cool before touching bulbs to avoid accidental burning of skin. Light bulbs need to be replaced when you notice a dark section of the flame or when the clarity and detail of the log exterior disappears. There are two bulbs under the log set which generate the flames and embers.
GLASS CLEANING The front glass is cleaned in the factory during the assembly operation. During shipment, installation, handling, etc., the front glass may collect dust particles, these can be removed by dusting lightly with a clean dry cloth. To remove fingerprints or other marks, the glass can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The glass should be completely dried with a lint free cloth to prevent water spots. To prevent scratching, do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on the glass surface.
TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Products to which this limited warranty applies This limited warranty applies to the following models of your newly purchased Dimplex electric fireplace and to newly purchased Dimplex fireplace surrounds (mantels) and trims. This limited warranty applies only to purchases made in any province of Canada except for Yukon Territory, Nunavut, or Northwest Territories or in any of the 50 States of the USA (and the District of Columbia) except for Hawaii and Alaska.

Please have proof of purchase, catalogue/model and serial numbers available when calling. Limited warranty service requires a proof of purchase of the product.
